Galápagos Islands

Back for 2009!

We are excited to be offering this program for another year!  As this is a very popular program, make sure that you confirm your acceptance quickly and hand in your forms ontime!

Setting sail from the coast of Ecuador, you will experience the islands that inspired Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution—a landscape that is unique in the world for its diverse wildlife and fauna. While you don't need a visa for your trip, you still have to submit the forms required by our office!

Important Forms
These documents provide us with important information about you, and ensure that if you have any problems while abroad, the Global Studies staff in Europe and in New York will be able to help you right away. For these reasons, deadlines are important. Handing forms in late—or failing to hand in forms—may jeopardize your ability to participate in the program. Make sure to follow all of our deadlines and be on the lookout here and in your e-mail inbox for important reminders and updates.

Orientation Information
The Office of Global Studies holds a number of different orientations to help prepare you for your trip. For faculty-led programs we provide both a general orientation and a site-specific orientation conducted by the faculty leader.  Attending these pre-departure orientation is mandatory. We hold in-person and online orientations, allowing you to choose the one that best fits your schedule. We will also be holding an orientation just for parents.

Additional Resources
We are always coming across useful and informative websites, articles, products, and travel advice.  We have compiled some of our favorites here for you to take advantage of.  If you know of anything we should add here, please let us know and we will look into it.
