In South Korea you can explore the many intriguing sights of Seoul, the capital of one of the fastest paced countries in Asia. Visit sites such as the Gyeongbokgung palace, a major tourist attraction built at the beginning of the Chosun Dynasty. Or, take a leisurely stroll through Seorak-san national park, home to unique rock formations and adorned by thousands of royal azaleas. On your time off, you can visit the historic city of Gyeongju, or stop off at the semi-tropical Jeju Island. Don’t forget to relax in the famous the hot baths of Seoul, or indulge in a little shopping at Namdaemun Market, the biggest traditional market in Korea. There, you can learn to bargain like a native while browsing for some local souvenirs. No matter where you go or what you do, you will emerge from this program with a better understanding of the Korean language and the Korean people.
This program also includes an excursion to bustling Pusan, the largest port city in South Korea. With a population of 3.6 million, Pusan is South Korea's second largest metropolis.
