A studio course in drawing and watercolor techniques, using the architecture, landscape
and people of Italy as subject.

ART 1790 "Survey of Art and Architecture in Italy"
A comprehensive survey course in the history of the visual arts and architecture on the Italian Peninsula from ancient times to the modern era. Credit: 3 semester hours.

ART 1795/ITA 3580 "The City of Rome"
A study of the city of Rome through its art, historical periods, literary and cultural movements and physical structure. Credit: 3 semester hours.

ITA 1000 "Intensive Italian I & II"
This course aims to develop basic communication skills in Italian. Through progressive use of the four skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing - students develop oral and written proficiency at a limited level within the context of Italian culture.

ITA 1010 "Italian Level I"
This course aims to develop basic communication skills in Italian. Through a progressive use of the four skills, listening, speaking, reading and writing, students develop oral and written proficiency at a limited level within the context of Italian culture. Credit: 3 semester hours.

ITA 1020 "Italian, Level II"

This course aims to build upon the skills acquired in ITA 1010. Through a progressive use of the four skills, listening, speaking, reading and writing, students develop oral and written proficiency at an intermediate level within the context of Italian culture. Credit: 3 semester hours.

ITA 2030 "Italian III"
Prerequisite: ITA 1020. This course reviews the basic learning skills learned in Italian I and II and continues building oral and written proficiency with more intensive reading and conversation within the context of Italian culture. Credit: 3 semester hours.

ITA 3110 "Advanced Italian Conversation I"
Drill and practice in conversational Italian. Topics are selected to meet the requirements of daily life. Not open to native or fluent speakers. Credit: 3 semester hours.

SPM 2000 "International Sport Management: The Emergence of Modern Sport"
This course examines the following processes: the medieval roots of the modern sport forms, the emergence of modern sports and its link with the processes. Credit: 3 semester hours.

HTM 2001 "International Tourism Management: An Italian Approach"

A survey of international travel and tourism to study Italian tourism and learn how the tourism industry works in Italy. Topics include international travel, major tourism destination regions in Italy, cultural aspects of tourism, current trends and management issues specific to the travel and tourism industry in Italy. Prerequisite: Permission of Chair. Total immersion experience in a field of interest chosen by the student in a country in which the target language is spoken.

SPG 403 "Special Topics in Sport Management: International Perspectives"
This course offers a concentrated focus on a selected international topic in sport management. This course requires a cooperative analysis of these topics in the EU and selected nations, such as Australia, Japan, China and Canada. Credit: 3 semester hours.
