Taste how Italian Cuisine Continues to Change the World!

Take a break from fast food this summer and learn how Italian cuisine is changing the way the world looks at eating. Known for its recent role in the “Slow Food” movement, Italian cuisine’s focus on the freshest ingredients and simple preparation has made the Italian way of eating a model that the rest of the world follows. Make Rome and its various markets, farms and restaurants the site of your international learning!

Dates: May 20 – June 3, 2013 (CANCELLED)
Please note: Students must arrive in Rome on May 20 and depart on June 3. If you depart from New York, for most flights you must leave the day before the arrival date.

Deadlines:

Accommodations:  You will stay in the St. John’s Rome Campus dormitory. The campus is located in the Prati neighborhood, rich in history and beautiful architecture, just north of the Vatican in central Rome.

The facility is located on the Lepanto subway line, just two streets from the building. While at St. John's Rome campus you will be able to walk to the Vatican, or take a short subway ride to the Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Navona, or the Castel Sant’Angelo.

Our campus combines old-world architectural elements with modern presentation technology. Classrooms are high tech with presentation ability, a fully-wired computer lab with printers for your use, a spacious meeting room, library and student lounge. Our bilingual staff, including a resident director and resident assistants will assist you with any needs.

Room accommodations include: two or three single beds, wardrobes and desks per room, linens are provided for your use for the duration of the program. Each room has an individual air conditioning unit, and wireless broadband internet access. Showers, sinks and toilets are shared per residence floor.
