Early Childhood Study Abroad Elective: International Perspectives in Early Childhood Education The study of educational philosophy, culture, policy and practices in early childhood settings abroad. Group travel program elective; offered annually. Credit: 3 semester hours.

Dates: June 20 - June 26, 2010

Early-childhood educators will head to Brescia, and Rome in June to study the highly regarded Italian approach to early childhood education, inclusive of the widely acclaimed Reggio Emilia approach that emphasizes immersion in the creative and performing arts.

Please be advised that at this time graduate students are unable to apply through the St. John's UIS system for graduate level courses.  Graduate students must file a paper application and an approved course option form in order to apply for this program.  Print the Application PDF and Course Option form, complete the application and submit to the Office of Global Studies located in Lourdes Hall. The Course Option form should be signed by your Dean or Academic Advisor to ensure that you will receive credit toward your course of study.
