Explore natural ecology in the breathtaking island of Bermuda this summer!

Bermuda’s unique geography—it’s an interconnected 22-square-mile chain of islands surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean—makes a perfect location for exploring  natural ecology and one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations. In addition, Bermuda, as a self-governing territory of the United Kingdom, is home to major insurance and financial institutions.

Offered in partnership with the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo (BAMZ) , this course brings students to historic and ecologically significant sites in Bermuda and nearby islands. Funded through the generous support of Joseph Smetana, a longtime supporter of St. John’s and a member of its Board of Governors, the program includes lodging, meals, transportation to and from field trips, boat use, and other equipment. Mr. Smetana also sits on the board of the Atlantic Conservation Partnership (ACP) , which is the support charity that facilitates the summer program at the BAMZ host site. Applicants should know how to swim!
