Rome, the “Eternal City” is breathtaking. So much history lines
every street that you could have something to do every day during
your semester abroad. The rest of Italy, outside of Rome, offers
picturesque landscapes and a chance to see areas that were once the
center of the modern world.
Spend a full semester or even a year at St. John’s University’s
campus in Rome, Italy — a premier academic institution in the heart
of the Eternal City. While there, you’ll conduct an in-depth
exploration of Italian history, language and culture, using the
distinctive academic resources of this remarkable city.
With Rome as your classroom, you can practice for Italian
classes while chatting with locals in the markets, cafes and
churches. Explore the masterpieces of Bernini in the Piazza Navona.
Marvel at baroque architecture and frescos of St. Peter’s while
attending Sunday mass.
Each semester, we offer the following courses:
- Anthropology
- Art History
- European Political History
- International Business
- International Relations
- Italian Language
- Political Science
- Theology
Highly competitive internships are also available to students
with advanced language skills for 3 or 6 credit hours during the
semester. Participation in an internship requires fewer
classroom courses during the semester.
