Are you new to St.
John's and interested in studying abroad on the Global
Passport program? We're excited to hear it! New information on
program dates, deadlines and courses will be launched March 1st.
Please be sure to check back for more
information.
This exciting program offers an exclusive opportunity for
incoming students to view their course study through an
international lens, while fulfilling a core requirement. In
addition, professors will utilize the historic and cultural riches
of each city to bring the academic content to life.
Though the bulk of your Passport Program course will
take place in New York during the fall or spring semester, this
innovative study abroad option provides you with the opportunity to
live in, study and explore Rome for a 10-day period at the end of a
semester.
Highlights include:
- Excursions to neighboring cities
- Tours of historical sites
- Explore local flavor with Rome staff
The Global Passport Program reinforces the St. John’s Vincentian
heritage by asking students to give back by giving of themselves,
immersing themselves in local culture through volunteer work at
places like Rome’s Caritas soup kitchen. This exceptional
opportunity will show you a far different, more enriching side of
the city that is rarely explored by tourists.
Through your academic study, guided tours and community service,
you become a metropolitan citizen – a citizen not just of our New
York City campuses, but of the world.
