Who? Will you be graduating in May 2014? Are you enrolled in either the School of Education, St. John’s College or College of Professional Studies and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher? Or perhaps you're a student in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with a GPA of at least 2.75? If your answer is “yes” to any of the above three questions, congratulations! You are eligible to apply! The Dean’s office will choose 25 hard-working students for each specific program. *Graduate students in the School of Education are also eligible to apply. See the program page for details!

What? The Dean’s Fellowship Program allows students to travel to Paris or Rome for one week where they will explore the city’s history and culture alongside their fellow classmates and professor. After returning from Europe, students will complete the course either online or on campus during the spring 2014 semester. Using the experiences and lessons you will learn during your time abroad, each course will draw global comparisons to increase cultural understanding.

When? After ringing in the New Year, you will head to Paris or Rome, where each program will run from January 6 to  January 13th. Upon return, each course will continue for the remainder of the spring 2014 term, either online for students in the School of Education and St. John's College programs, or in the classroom for students in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and College of Professional Studies programs.

Where?   Your program can take you to either Paris or Rome!

Paris is not only home to world class cuisine, beautiful art and captivating culture, but it is also home to St. John’s  Paris Campus. The Paris campus is located in the popular St. Germain district, which encompasses the Luxembourg Gardens and neighbors some of Paris’s most popular attractions.  Not only will you attend class there, but the campus will also serve as your accommodations for the program.

St. John’s Rome campus will be your home away from home while you spend the week exploring the world's "Eternal City.” With Vatican City just a short walk away, and the Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Navona, and Castel Sant’Angelo all within your reach, you'll truly be living among the Romans during your stay on the St. John's Rome campus.

Why? Do you really need to ask? Graduating college is a huge achievement, so why not celebrate your success?!

How Much? If you're still not convinced that this program is right for you, would it help if we said it’s really affordable? And by affordable, we mean that all you have to pay is a $250 deposit/program fee and your airfare! Of course, you'll want to bring a little extra to spend on souvenirs and some meals, too!

*Tuition and airfare are in addition to the deposit/program fee. For undergraduate students, this course will be included in their normal semester tuition bill as long as they meet full-time student status (12 to 18 credits). Graduate students will be billed separately for tuition and fees based on the prevailing cost of tuition for their designated college.
