The New York Times into your courses. The objective is to foster
students’ global awareness, promote critical thinking, engage
students in active learning, and help to create a more in-formed,

course with The New York Times, the nation’s most honored
newspaper, and support the University’s effort to create a culture
The workshop will be led by Walter Barleycorn, Education Manager
for The New York Times. In addition to sharing instructional
strategies, he will demonstrate The New York Times' on-line
teaching and research resources.
This workshop will also outline resources available to faculty. A
complimentary subscrip-tion can be provided to faculty who have 10
or more students and incorporate The Times into their
