St. John’s Italian Cultural Center Scholarship

The Italian Cultural Center offers scholarships for students who have been accepted to study in the summer, fall or spring Study Abroad programs in Rome, Italy.

  • Summer Award: $1500.00
  • Fall & Spring Awards: $2500.00 
  • Discover the World Applicants: $1000.00


Currently enrolled, matriculated undergraduate St. John’s University students are encouraged to apply.


 Application Requirements:
 

  • Students may not apply if they are receiving full tuition in the form of a scholarship or as a recipient of tuition remission (family member employed at St. John’s)
  • Must be currently enrolled and matriculated undergraduates of St. John’s University
  • Must have completed freshman year
  • Must have a cumulative index of 3.25 or higher in your major
  • Write an essay (250 words) explaining why you deserve this scholarship
  • Provide, as references, letters from two members of the faculty with whom you have studied within the past year. Letters must be emailed as an attachment to dandreaj@stjohns.edu  by the professor writing the recommendation.
  • Upon completion of the time in Rome, recipient shall furnish an essay addressing their experiences in the program and the impact it has made in their academic and personal life
  • Upon completion of the time in Rome, recipient shall be invited to attend an ICC Welcome Reception where they will meet the ICC Board members and informally talk about their experiences in Rome.
