As Vice President and Risk Manager of Silverstein Properties and
World Trade Center Properties, Shari Natovitz is responsible for
providing leadership, direction and creating solutions for the risk
management challenges of the WTC development project and the
Silverstein portfolio buildings, acquisitions, operations and new
construction projects.
Prior to joining Silverstein Properties in 2005, Ms. Natovitz
served as Construction and Risk Finance Leader for USI Insurance
Services, the 9th largest broker in the U.S. Prior to that, Ms.
Natovitz spent 21 years with Marsh (and predecessor company Johnson
& Higgins) as Vice President and Marketing Director, member of
the National Strategic Risk Assessment Group and member of the
National Wrap-up Task Force. In that role, she had primary
responsibility for the brokering and management of such projects
as: The Ronald Regan Building, Richmond Convention Center, HQ for
the Union of Carpenters and Joiners, EPA Headquarters, Ronald
Reagan and Dulles Airports, Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Plant and Rocky
Flat Environmental Site. She has also spent time as an independent
consultant and was principal author of a major white paper on
Wrap-ups for the Department of Transportation.
Ms. Natovitz has developed and led a variety of seminars on
Wrap-up programs and has been a panelist and speaker for the
Institutional Investor. She is currently the Vice Chairman of the
External Affairs Committee of the National Risk and Insurance
Management Society whose focus is Federal and State legislative
efforts that affect the industry. She played an active part
in the lobbying efforts for both TRIA extensions. She brings over
35 years of experience with project insurance, funding alternatives
and strategic risk management tools to her current position.
