The Peter J. Tobin College of Business-Management Professor Receives Award for Dedication to Global Scholarship

May 27, 2007—Management Professor Jay Nathan was honored at the Global Awareness Society International’s Sixteenth Annual Conference entitled, Globalization: Promoting Equality or Perpetuating Inequality? for his contribution towards Global Awareness. Dr. Nathan has been the Editor of the Journal of Global Awareness for three years and is also on the Board for Global Awareness. (The Journal of Global Awarness seeks papers on issues related to globalization.)
The principles of the Global Awareness Society International are based on the idea that all global citizens are equal, yet unique as human beings within the global community. This year’s conference was held in Seoul, Korea and focused on how globalization impacts various peoples and systems of the world. Issues included economic issues and processes, education, environment, gender, health and medicine, human rights, internal and transnational migration, issues pertaining to family and in social work, labor and employment, poverty, politics and law, to name a few.
The Deans, administrators, faculty and staff of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business congratulate Dr. Jay Nathan on his dedication and contribution towards these important global issues.
