Welcome back for the beginning of another
academic year!
As you know, it is a St. John’s tradition to start each year by
coming together in prayer at our Opening School Mass of the
Holy Spirit. This semester, the Mass of the Holy
Spirit will take place on Thursday, 12:15 p.m., September
13, in St. Thomas More Church. St. John’s President, Rev.
Donald J. Harrington, C.M., will celebrate this liturgy.
As always, we will commission and bless our student campus leaders
during Mass. This is an important opportunity to pray with
and support our students as they begin their service to the
university. I ask that you to make every effort to attend!
Please know that all of us in the Office of University
Mission and Campus Ministry will be praying for you and
the work you will do as the year begins.
