Guess Who's Going Bald? And Whose "Locks Of Love" Will be a Lot Shorter?

Guess who’s going bald? And whose “Locks Of Love” will be a lot shorter?

The St. John’s University community joins again in the fight against childhood cancer — and we’re doing it bigger and better than last year! On Thursday, March 15 at 1:45 p.m. in the D’Angelo Living Room, several wonderful and amazing colleagues will GO BALD in solidarity with children suffering from childhood cancer. Join us as we watch and support:

  • Coach Jim Hurt, Head Coach of Track and Field
  • Frank Jerome, Student Affairs Business Analyst
  • Jack Flynn, Director of Student Conduct
  • Rino Grzinic, Associate Director of Development, University Development
  • Michael Fahid, Assistant to the Dean of Pharmacy and Administrative Sciences
  • Eric Finkelstein, Director of Residence Life
  • Marc Gillespie, Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Eric Rienecker, Director Academic Support Services for Student-Athletes
  • Louis Saavedra, Coordinator for Academic Service Learning
  • John Konecsni, Assistant Dean of Allied Health and Industrial Sciences
  • Scott Patton, Resident Director of O’Connor Hall
  • Anthony Marziliano, Assistant to the Dean of Pharmacy and Administrative Sciences

And those who are cutting their Locks of Love 10 inches shorter:

  • M. E. Ellis, Associate Professor of Economics and Finance
  • Clare Byrne, Grants Analyst – Office of Grants and Sponsored Research

Plus the wonderful and loving students who will shed it all so that their hair donations will go to make wigs for children whose treatment causes hair loss.  BALD IS BEAUTIFUL!

Even if you do not shave your head, there are lots of opportunities to join in the day’s festivities and support the effort. Though close to $8,000 has been raised, we need your help to reach our goal and make St. John’s donation the largest ever.

Share in the St. John’s spirit of giving! For $5, grab a Lunch-To-Go featuring great food from local eateries, or buy a raffle ticket to win an IPad, Kindle Fire, Flat Screen TV and much, much more. Raffle tickets will be sold from the Main Campus Ministry office beginning March 8 for $2 each or three for $5. You need not be present to win. To donate directly through any of our amazing participants, visit: www.stbaldricks.org

Mark your calendar — March 15, 1:45 p.m., D’Angelo Living Room — and take a few moments to join us. We would love to have you there!
