Associate Professor of Actuarial Science, School of Risk Managment
Dr. Ramanujam was educated with honors at Madras University in India and was awarded a Ph.D in mathematics by Brown University. He has been an enrolled actuary since April 1986 and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries since November 1980. He also is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, the American Mathematical Society, Sigma Xi, and the American Society of Pension Actuaries.
Professor Ramanujam currently teaches undergraduate actuarial science courses and actuarial exam review seminars. In addition to teaching at St. John's University, has also held posts as Associate Professor of Mathematics at William Paterson College, and Assistant Professor of Mathematics at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Fordham University and University of Washington.
Professor Ramanujam has received the "Professor of the Year" award and has been instrumental in expanding the actuarial science program at The School of Risk Management.
