Associate Professor of Accounting and Taxation
Associate Professor Gerard A. Lange holds a B.S. from Fordham University, an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and an Ed.D. from St John’s University and is registered as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
Professor Lange has authored a supplement to a textbook, numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, including the Georgia Journal of Accounting, the Journal of the Southwestern Society of Economists, the Review of Business, Bank Accounting and Finance and the Commercial Lending Review. He also has presented numerous papers that have been included in the proceedings of or abstracts to such international, national, and regional academic forums as the American Accounting Association, the Northeast Business and Economics Association, the International Conference on Case Method Research and Application, the New England Business Administration International Conference, the Annual Convention of the Eastern Economics Association, the Southwestern Society of Economists, the American Society of Business and Behavioral Sciences and the International Association of Business and Public Administrative Disciplines.
Professor Lange obtained his audit experience at Main Hurdman a predecessor of KPMG and as a senior internal auditor at American Express Company. He was a manager of financial forecasting at Burns International Security Services, Inc., a manager of financial planning and budgeting at Seiko Time Corporation, and a financial analyst at ITT Rayonier, Inc. He has experience as a consultant and in private practice. Professor Lange has consulted for corporations and non-profit organizations in the New York area.
