Gerard A. Lange, M.B.A.
Associate Professor of Accounting and Taxation
Associate Professor Gerard A. Lange holds an MBA from New York University and is currently registered as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. Professor Lange is currently enrolled in a doctoral (Ed.D.) program in instructional leadership at St. John's University.
Professor Lange has authored a supplement to a textbook, eight articles in peer-reviewed journals, including the Georgia Journal of Accounting, the Journal of the Southwestern Society of Economists, the Review of Business, and Bank Accounting & Finance. He has also presented twenty papers that have been included in the proceedings of or as abstracts to such international, national, and regional academic forums as: the American Accounting Association, the Northeast Business and Economics Association, the International Conference on Case Method Research and Application, the New England Business Administration International Conference, the Annual Convention of the Eastern Economics Association and the Southwestern Society of Economists.
Professor Lange obtained his audit experience at Main Hurdman (now KPMG) and as a senior auditor at American Express Company. He was a manager of financial forecasting at Burns International Security Services, Inc., a manager of financial planning and budgeting at Seiko Time Corporation, and a financial analyst at ITT Rayonier, Inc. He has experience as a consultant and was in private practice. Professor Lange does consulting for many corporations in the New York area. Professor Lange also has extensive experience in developing and implementing seminars and curricula in accounting and taxation.
