Dr. Chaman L. Jain

Professor of Economics and Finance

Dr. Jain earned his Ph. D. from American University, Washington, D.C. and MA in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. He specializes in Demand Planning and Forecasting. He has published over one hundred articles, and authored, co-authored and edited seven books, mostly in the area of demand planning and forecasting. He has conducted workshops on demand planning and forecasting for a number of organization including Brown and Williamson, Hewlett Packard, Sweetheart Cup, Eastman Kodak, Jockey International, SABIC (Saudi Arabia), Saudi ARAMCO (Saudi Arabia), DU-Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Co. (Dubai), and Symbios Consulting Group (Egypt). He was invited as a guest lecturer on demand planning and forecasting by University Technology Malaysia (Malaysia), Devi Ahiyla University (India), and Apeejay Svran Institute of Management (India). He is the recipient of 1994 award of The Direct Marketing Educational Foundation for his best paper. He is the editor of Journal of Business Forecasting.
