Thomas Chen

ThomasChenDr. Thomas P. Chen
Professor of Economics and Finance

Dr. Chen obtained his B.A. degree in economics from Tunghai University, Taiwan, and his Ph.D. degree in economics from the City University of New York. His research has focused on the areas of business forecasting, and financial economics.

Dr. Chen has numerous publications, including several books and many refereed articles in national and international journals. He has also served as an advisor to various agencies of the Taiwanese government and as an economics expert to the United Nations. His most recent book, Interlocking Global Business Systems: The Restructuring of Industries, Economies and Capital Markets was co-edited with Edward B. Flowers and Jonchi Shyu, Quorum Books, West Port, Connecticut, London 1999.
