The Financial Planning Certificate at the Center for Professional Education
Financial planners deal with one of the most personal and important aspects of people's lives: their money. The number of individuals who seek professional assistance in managing their finances has increased dramatically, and the financial planning field is experiencing tremendous growth. In order to meet the challenges faced by financial planning professionals, it is becoming increasingly important that they develop the necessary skills and knowledge that will help clients manage their finances and achieve their goals.

For those seeking to become CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioners, the Center for Professional Education at St. John's University offers a program that is registered with CFP Board to provide the required educational component for students to take the national certifying exam administered by the Certified Financial Planner™ Board of Standards in Denver, CO. Our Certificate in Financial Planning program has been designed for professionals in the brokerage, insurance, accounting, banking and related industries. This program is beneficial whether you are new to the financial services industry, or a seasoned financial services professional.

Students who complete the program will receive a certificate from St. John's University.

For those students who decide to complete the entire Financial Planning Program and take the national  CFP™certification exam, half of the fee for the Fundamentals course can be applied to the tuition of the first core course (Financial Planning, Risk Management and Insurance Planning) the next time it is offered.

The fee for each course in the program is $695. Contact us at (212) 277-5161 or by email, cpe@stjohns.edu if you are interested in receiving information about this program.

We are also affiliated with the College for Financial Planning, and use their materials and exams in our courses. The materials for this program are purchased directly from the College for Financial Planning.
