In a global marketplace undergoing economic instability and
regulatory change, international business knowledge is becoming
increasingly vital. This, in turn, is fueling the demand for global
business professionals.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for
management analysts, including specialists in international
business, will grow 24 % by 2018 — much faster than average. In
addition, industry-watchers predict that business analysts who have
earned international M.B.A.’s will command higher salaries and
bonuses.
You can prepare for these opportunities through the Master of
Business Administration Program’s International Business
concentration at St. John’s University. Offered by The Peter J.
Tobin College of Business the concentration prepares students for a
cross-section of leadership positions in the global marketplace. As
one of the first U.S.-based business schools to establish an
overseas presence at St. John’s Rome campus, the Tobin College of
Business is recognized for its international perspective.
Program Description
The 36-54-credit concentration is fully accredited by the
prestigious AACSB International – the Association to Advance
Collegiate Schools of Business. Classes are offered at both our
Queens and Rome campuses and can be taken on either a full- or a
part-time basis.
Reflecting the Tobin College of Business’ s global orientation,
students have the option of studying at the University’s Rome
campus for a semester or more. They profit from being part of a
multicultural student body in which 34% of Tobin’s students come
from abroad. As a result, graduates develop a comprehensive
understanding of the interconnected, 21st century global
marketplace, which also helps graduates secure positions in global
corporations, non-profits and governmental agencies.
Interdisciplinary Curriculum
Reflecting the M.B.A. program’s interdisciplinary approach to
business, the International Business concentration explores the
interrelationship between international finance, government policy
and global economic issues. We invite you to see our complete
course description in The Peter J. Tobin College of Business
