The Vincent and Louise House is an intentional living community
that allows students to share life with other students who also
have a passion for service, a willingness to learn and practice
what it means to live simply, and to build and form long-lasting
relationships with like minded individuals. Vincent and Louise
House community members commit themselves to completing 5 hours of
service each week, meeting once a week for a spirituality session
to reflect on faith, as well as community gathering and community
meals each month.
While the Christian Living Community is rooted in the Vincentian
and Catholic tradition, it remains open to and encourages a
diversity of faiths and spirituality. In this openness to all
faiths, students remain open to others' belies and are willing to
share their own. Regardless of one's degree of spirituality,
participation is encouraged in the community time of prayer and
reflection, bringing each individual's gifts of life and/or faith
experience and cherishing those of others.
Spirituality Meetings provide time for students to:
* To pray and reflect together
* To share and grow with one anther's spiritual beliefs
* To allow God to truly enter into the discussion of social justice
issues life questions, and everyday experiences
* To strengthen faith and encourage worship within your own faith
tradition
