Changing financial laws and corporate regulations in addition to
greater scrutiny of business finances are fueling the growing
demand for accountants.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts employment in this sector
will grow by an impressive 22% by 2018 — outpacing the average
growth rates for all occupations.
You can prepare for this flourishing field through the Master’s of
Science Degree Program in Accounting at St. John’s University.
Offered by the Peter J. Tobin College of Business, the program
prepares students for certification as New York State
C.P.A.s.
Program Description
The one-year, 30- to 33-credit graduate program, which can be taken
full-time or part-time, is fully accredited by the prestigious
AACSB International — the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools
of Business. This licensure-qualifying program will prepare you for
the uniform CPA examination.
Classes are offered on our Queens, Manhattan and Staten Island
campuses. All classes are offered in the evenings. We also offer
the program online through our Online Learning program.
The Tobin College of Business was among the first collegiate

International accreditation for its accounting programs. It is also
among only 3% of all business schools worldwide, to enjoy dual
accreditation for its business as well as its accounting
programs.
