St. John’s University has teamed up with the New York Society of
Securities Analysts (NYSSA) to offer a reimbursement program for
CFA review courses and review materials.
The program is available to all MS in Investment Management
students with no other qualifications or application
required. Graduate students enrolled other graduate programs
and 4th year undergraduate students enrolled in the BS Finance
program are eligible for the program after submitting an
application and meeting the following requirements:
• 3.00 GPA (for graduate students)
• 3.00 overall and 3.25 major GPA (for

accounting faculty member

The CFA Level 1 exam is offered twice per year—once in June and
once in December. The NYSSA runs its review courses for
approximately four months preceding the exam. Students can
take the exam during their last two semesters in their program, or
they may take the first review session and exam immediately
following graduation. Students must take the review
course immediately preceding the exam date. For example, a
student taking the December 2013 CFA Level 1 exam must take the
review course that ends in the week before the December 2013 CFA
Level 1 exam.

2) Once approved, you will then sign up for the NYSSA review course
using a special order form and order review materials using a
special link and code. You will also receive the
reimbursement claim form at this time.
3) Ensure you are registered for the CFA exam.
4) Submit reimbursement claim.
Deadlines: August 1,
2013 for fall 2013 review classes to sit for the CFA
Exam in December 2013.
