So you think you’re an
entrepreneur?
Would you like to be an entrepreneur?
Here’s your chance to make it happen.
If you’ve ever looked at a product and thought “I could have made
that” or learned of an invention and thought “Hey, that was my
idea” you’re probably an entrepreneur at heart. And if you’d like
nothing better than to turn your ideas into cash, you won’t want to
miss this unique opportunity that lets you do just that!
This program invites you to try your hand at creating an original
business plan. You can work alone or as a member of a team, the
most interesting and unique plans will be selected to compete for
$16,000 in cash prizes during a formal
presentation before a panel of business executives.
The Business Plan Competition and Expo, underwritten by
James and Eileen Christmas, is co-hosted by the Peter J. Tobin
College of Business and the Office of Alumni Relations.
The competition is open to undergraduate and graduate St. John's
University students from all majors.
If your business plan is not selected to be a finalist in the
competition, you may still present it at the Expo, where you’ll
receive feedback from executives and event participants and compete
for additional cash prizes.
To help you prepare a winning business plan, there are a series of workshops, events and mentorship
opportunities available.
