In this session, Sr. Annelle Fitzpatrick, CSJ, Ph.D., will give
a brief overview of some of the “Cultural Clues” that students
often wear which reveal much about their religious and cultural
background. By learning to identify some of these cultural
clues (i.e. hijab, kufi, kirpan, dastar, tzitzit, dupatta, etc.)
both faculty and staff may be able to anticipate the social and
religious concerns of these students and make them feel more at
home on the campus of St. John’s University.
Dinner with cultural cuisines will be served after the training.
Limited seating, RSVP required at email@example.com
