Yeh Art Gallery presents : “The Department
of Fine Arts Faculty Art Exhibition 2010,” on exhibit
November 16 – January 8, 2011 on the University’s Queens
Campus.
I am consistently astounded by the quality of work and
dedication that appears at each faculty art exhibition. It
has been wonderful to observe the continuing professional and
artistic development of my colleagues throughout my appointment
here as gallery director. I feel compelled to make this
statement with absolute sincerity: our students’ futures have been
entrusted into an incredibly talented group of professors here at
St. John’s University.
Each of the artists featured in this exhibition offers a different
strategy (across many mediums) in working with specific artistic
themes that define the nature of their individual artistic
practices. It is with this knowledge that these
professors are able to guide our students into becoming mature,
accomplished artists.
We are proud to share the accomplishments of our faculty amongst
the community at large. We hope that you can join us for this
exhibition.
