Founding Director, Graduate Program in Criminal Justice Leadership, and Associate Professor of Criminal Justice.  B.S., M.A., John Jay College of Criminal Justice; D.P.A., Nova Southeastern University.  Prof. Ward is the former Assistant commissioner for Training and Organizational Development at the New York City Department of Correction.  He began his criminal justice career as a New York City Police Officer, where he served in the Tactical Patrol Force and in the Detective Division.  Prof. Ward has held faculty and executive positions at a number of universities in New York State and has published extensively on the topic of management accountability in Criminal justice agencies.  He has received numerous honors and awards, including the Distinguished Service Award from the New York City Department of Correction and the Distinguished Alumnus Award from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
