Obtaining Books, Materials, & Grades

Obtaining Books and Class Materials
After registering for classes, please follow the steps below to identify and obtain the books and materials required for your course/s.  We suggest you print this page of directions, and also view this online tutorial to help you get started.

Examples
If your name is John Smith and you started at St. John's in 2002, then your User Name is john.smith02.  If your name is Kathleen Johnson and you started at St. John's in 1999, dropped out and returned for re-admission in 2001, then your User Name is kathleen.johnson01.

  • Enter your PIN / password which is the same one as your UIS password
  • Choose the "My Courses" button
  • From the "Course Schedule" drop down option, choose the appropriate term
  • Select the Course, and review the syllabus for information about books/materials required
  • Click here for the online St. John's University bookstore

Obtaining Grades
Grades are usually posted within 2 weeks following the semester's final exams. You can obtain your grades online by following the steps below.  We suggest you print this page of directions, and also view this online tutorial to help you get started.

  • Log-on to St. John's Central
  • Enter your user name (e.g. john.smith06)
  • Enter your PIN / password which is the same one as your UIS password
  • Select the UIS Services tab
  • Choose "Click here for UIS"
  • Click "Student Services and Financial Aid"
  • Click Student Records, choose from Midterm grades, Final grades or Grade detail and specify the semester for which you want to obtain your grades
  • When finished, please log off, or close your browser window to ensure security
