Dr. Geffner is a Professor and Program Director in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is dually certified in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Through her work in the area of auditory processing disorders, Dr. Geffner has proven herself a pioneer in the professions. Her past role as President of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and her long-standing position as Program Director at St. John’s University substantiate Dr. Geffner as a leader in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is the author of two textbooks and The Listening Inventory. Her newest test, “Auditory Skills Assessment” is co-authored with Ron Goldman. She has presented internationally and nationally over 300 publications and presentations.
