Tina Jupiter, Ph.D., CCC-A

Dr. Jupiter is an Associate Professor currently serving as the Assistant Chair to the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has been a faculty member at St. John’s University since 1992. Dr. Jupiter holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is a NY State licensed audiologist and hearing aid dispenser. She has practiced audiology in a variety of clinical settings, including audiological consultation to Harlem Hospital Center as well as a past Director of Audiology at the Lexington Hearing and Speech Center. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NYSSLHA), as well as the Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology (ARA).

Dr. Jupiter’s research interests include identifying hearing loss in the elderly in a variety of settings using both traditional and electrophysiological procedures. Her teaching at St. John’s University focuses primarily on  graduate courses in Auditory Brainstem Response Testing, Otoacoustic Emission, Middle and Late Auditory Potentials as well as undergraduate introductory audiology courses.
