Programs of Study

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology offers a wide variety of social science courses the graduate level. The following degree granting programs are available :

Students often combine these degree programs with appropriate Education courses (secondary education minor) and receive New York State 7-12 teaching certification. Majors in Sociology or Anthropology can also earn a minor in Social Work. Both of these minors are career oriented and are an asset when applying to graduate school or seeking professional employment.

In addition to degree granting programs the department offers a wide range of undergraduate core courses in all aspects of the social sciences.
