DLIS graduates continue to make important
and noteworthy contributions within the field of library and
information science. Their accomplishments know no border, as they
work in states around the nation and in countries around the world.
They continue to be leaders in our field by pioneering innovative
ideas in the world of information science, presenting papers and
leading discussions within our professional organizations, and
elevating the profession as a whole by their everyday
work.
By establishing themselves as leaders in
the field, DLIS graduates are working towards changing the
stereotypical image of who librarians are and what they do.
