DLIS ALUMNI
Graduates remain loyal to the Division of Library and
Information Science (DLIS) at St. John’s long after they earn their
degrees.
The Division strengthens this loyalty by fostering meaningful
relationships between alumni and current students, and by
encouraging alumni to give back by donating funds, mentoring
students and sharing their professional achievements. If you

Professional Achievements
Alumni are encouraged to share their professional achievements,
awards and appointments with us. That way, we can acknowledge your
success and inspire future alumni.

Donating
Alumni can support DLIS by donating funds for events, receptions
or awards or contributing funds and/or endowments that support the
development of the program. If you wish to make a donation,

Mentoring
Alumni can stay involved with the University by getting involved
with an on-campus mentoring program for current students. Mentors
share information about professional and/or personal milestones for
use in our DLIS newsletter, interact with new students at
Orientation sessions and speak with graduating students at
Commencement receptions.
