Frequently Asked Questions

How many classes may I complete at Oakdale?
The program consists of 36 credits (12 courses). Students may complete up to 30 credits at Oakdale. There is a six-credit residency on the main campus in Queens.

How difficult is it to fit a Queens course into the schedules of students living and/or working in Eastern Suffolk?
Special courses such as Internship Seminar, Exploring NY Libraries, and those with mixed-mode (partially on-line) delivery meet for fewer class sessions, cutting down on in-person trips to the campus. Another option is to take a class that meets on selected Saturdays, when there is no rush hour!
