St. John's University, Division of Library and Information
Science, offers the opportunity to prepare
for careers Law Librarianship as part of our ALA
accredited Master's Program.
The demand for law librarians has never been greater. A myriad
of opportunities exist in law firms, corporate legal departments,
courts and government agencies, and law schools for information
professionals trained in the law. Law librarians are among the most
well-paid and well-respected members of the profession.
The concentration in Law Librarianship is open to lawyers
and non-lawyers. All courses are taught by experienced law
librarians and balance practice with theory.
Courses in law librarianship are scheduled for the University's
Manhattan Campus on Murray Street, and students may have access to
the Rittenberg Law Library on the Queens Campus.
