of St. John's University at a Convocation held June 8, 1994.
- American Society of Indexers, Hines Award "for distinguished
service to the Society and the profession," awarded May 1998 in
Seattle.
- Invited to serve as a judge for the H.W. Wilson Award for
Excellence in Indexing. Judging held March 19, 2000, in New York
City.
- Invited to serve as a member of the Hines Award Committee of
the American Society of Indexers. Awardee selected Spring

Many of my
publications were cited in a British anthology on indexing, in a
new edition of a textbook on indexing, and in various articles in
the field of information science.
