Students in the Non-Thesis Option must take at least 12 semester
hours in the field of concentration. Of the remaining 21
hours, students must take these minimum semester hours for the
following fields of concentration:
American Government or Public
Administration
3 hours in International Relations and Comparative Government
3 hours in Political Theory
International Relations and Comparative
Government
3 hours in American Government
3 hours in Political Theory
Political Theory
3 hours in International Relations and Comparative Government
3 hours in either Comparative Government of Public
Administration
The student in the non-thesis program is not required to
demonstrate competency in a foreign language.
