Given the special international nature of the Global Development
and Social Justice (GDSJ) program due to the combination of
Distance Learning and on-site classes in Rome, please read and
follow the below application procedures when submitting your
application. The normal application fee is waived for those
applying for the GDSJ program.
Application deadline: February 1, 2010
Regarding scholarships: Scholarships are
available on a selective basis and we encourage all students to
apply. In order to apply for scholarships you must first have
applied and have been admitted to the program. Therefore we
encourage all interested students to proceed with the below free
application process and once your application has been approved
begin with the scholarship application process.
Application Procedure:
1. When planning on submitting an application please first
e-mail Alyssa Monturi at monturia@stjohns.edu and
inform her of your interest in applying to the GDSJ program and
please let us know how you heard of the
program.
2. To submit a free online application you must
first fill out all requested personal and background information on
the application page linked to below. On the second page that you
will be directed to after completing this section you will be asked
to choose your major and "College and Campus" on the drop down
menu. You will need to choose "St. John's College of
Liberal Arts and Sciences (Queens)" Then under the next
drop down menu to select your major you will need to select
"M.A. Global Development and Social
Justice."
3. Applicants will also need to send via regular mail hard
copies of official transcripts, two letters of recommendation and,
if applicable, TOEFL scores to the below address. Letters of
recommendation should be addressed to Dr. Annalisa Sacca, Director,
Center for Global Development and sent to the below
address.
