Ad Project Competition

Every year the Department of Fine Arts participates in the American Advertising Competition, in cooperation with the Advertising and Marketing Departments of the College of Business Administration and the College of Professional Studies. The students, operating as an advertising agency, work to market and sell a product or service. From market research to storyboards and budgets, the students acquire a thorough and professional experience.

St. John's has earned an award winning reputation in The American Advertising Competition. Over the years, we have held a "powerhouse" position in the Northeast Regional Competition, placing first, in four out of five years, with campaigns for Chevrolet Cavalier, an original magazine idea, American Airlines, and Visa. St. John's has also placed in the top five for the National Competition, giving us a very prominent position and a well deserved reputation of excellence.
