Welcome to St. John's College
Founded in 1870, St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
is the cornerstone and oldest division of St. John’s University.
The College offers three undergraduate degrees: the Bachelor of
Arts, the Bachelor of Science and the Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Although the College has always emphasized the liberal arts
tradition, we offer more than thirty majors and forty minors in the
arts and sciences, business and education. The school’s graduate
division, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, provides
numerous programs leading to master’s and doctorate degrees.
While these programs form the foundation for a superlative
education, St. John’s offers more: a top – notch faculty, a
curriculum designed to expand your horizons and prepare you for a
rewarding career, and a student population that is one of the most
diverse in the country.
Study abroad possibilities, cross-school offerings with the Tobin
College of Business, plus professional courses at The College of
Professional Studies are also available. St. John's College
undergraduates have the best of many worlds, including the
advantages of a strong liberal arts core married to a truly "option
– oriented" curriculum. In addition, the College has established
strong internship/externship programs with businesses, government
agencies, museums and other institutions outside the University.
These and other attributes make St. John’s College an exciting and
diversified branch of the University.
We invite you to learn
