Tracy Adamovich has never been one to back
away from a challenge
Tracy Adamovich isn’t interested in finding the easy way out of
anything. Throughout her life, the second-year student has set high
standards for herself and then done whatever needed to be done in
order to achieve her goals.
After graduating high school, Tracy enrolled at the United
States Military Academy at West Point. From there, in 2001, she
began five years of service as an Army officer, including one year
in Iraq.
“No matter what I’m doing in life, I want to be challenged. I
think it’s important to always be testing yourself and pushing your
limits.”
After she made the decision to attend law school, Tracy was
drawn to St. John’s because of its excellent reputation and strong
alumni network. She started as a part-time student in the evening
program and quickly ascended to the top of her class.
“I decided on the evening program because I wanted the
opportunity to get real-world experience while attending law
school. It’s a pretty remarkable opportunity to get the great
education that St. John’s is known for, while also developing
practical, real-world skills on the job.”
Tracy is considering pursuing a career as a judge to carry on
St. John’s renowned legacy of producing distinguished judges. But
no matter what she ends up doing, she knows where she wants to
be.
“I definitely want to work in Manhattan, and I think that will
be possible because of St. John’s really strong alumni network.
They’re so engaged and willing to give back to the school by
presenting opportunities to students and recent graduates. And to
practice in New York would be amazing. It’s where I’m from, and the
opportunities here are endless.”
