Kareem Vessup is using his School of Law experience to make a difference

Kareem Vessup
Queens, New York
J.D., ‘04

Kareem Vessup wanted to make a difference in New York’s minority community. During his time as a student at the School of Law he was inspired by his fellow students and their diverse range of backgrounds, and was a national champion at the 2003 National Trial Competition in Houston. As a graduate, he draws upon that experience every day in his work with underrepresented segments of the community.

“I’ve always wanted to try to make a difference for African Americans and other minorities—to help level the playing field in the legal community. I don’t think I could have found a better learning environment for this than St. John’s.”
