Assistant Legal Writing Professor
Professor Akilah Folami doesn’t think it should come as a
surprise that the School of Law is among the top five law schools
in New York in its bar passage rate. She believes things like a new
bar review course, a New York practice course, and additional
course requirements in areas covered by the bar will only
strengthen the School of Law’s reputation.
“There are several things that we have done to evolve our
curriculum in ways that will better prepare our students. We’re
very focused on getting our students prepared for the world of
practicing law, and that starts with passing the bar. Our hope is
that these are things that will help them get to the point of being
practicing attorneys, if that’s what they want to do.”
