Carla Harris

As Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, Carla Harris is in
charge of Equity Private Placements. As part of her duties, Ms.
Harris is responsible for the structuring, marketing, and execution
of private equity financing in several major segments of the
economy.
Ms. Harris has been involved in the initial public offerings for
corporations as diverse as UPS and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
Fortune Magazine named Ms. Harris as one of the “The 50
Most Powerful Black Executives in Corporate America,” and Black
Enterprise Magazine named her as one of the “Top 50 African
Americans on Wall Street.”
Ms. Harris graduated from Harvard Business School with Second
Year Honors and received her AB from Harvard University, Magna
Cum Laude. Ms. Harris believes that “we are blessed so that we
can be a blessing to someone else.” Given her commitment, Ms.
Harris has remained active in the community. She has funded the
Carla Harris Scholarship at Harvard University and at Bishop Kenny
High School in Jacksonville, Florida; she has also served as
President of the St. Charles Gospelites of St. Charles Borromeo
Catholic Church and as a member of the board of St. Charles
Borromeo Catholic School.
