Law Enforcement, the Courts and the People: Field Intelligence, 7 Months Later

November 10, 2008 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
The Mattone Family Atrium - 4th Floor

Presented by the Federalist Society

St. John’s School of Law will once again be hosting representatives from the Dutchess County Field Intelligence Group. A Senior Assistant District Attorney, Detectives, Field Intelligence Officers, Probation Officers, Correction Officers and Crime Analysts, will be on hand to present the new integrated, proactive and investigative approach to law enforcement. The team centralizes information learned from various law enforcement bodies as well as doing their own street work. They also work closely with the DA’s office to learn where the legal limit for their investigator conduct is; so they may go right up to it. This approach has been praised as a success and is being modeled across the state. Is this just good police work or another step along a slipper slope?

Refreshments wll be served.
