The Admiralty Law Society was founded in 1975 by Professor
Joseph A. Calamari, Alfred Will ’75 and Peter Clark ’75 to promote
the study of Admiralty and Maritime Law. Today, our members and
alumni fulfill this mission by presenting guest speakers from the
admiralty and maritime field, biannually publishing
The Admiralty Practicum , and by hosting an annual dinner that
brings distinguished alumni and Society members together for an
evening of networking, discussion and celebration. At its 2011
dinner, the Society honored professor Calamari’s contribution and
commitment to the Law School and to the Society.
Managed and published by students in the Admiralty Law Society, The
Admiralty Practicum features the production of the précis for the
Society of Maritime Arbitrators’ cases. It distributes to prominent
practitioners of admiralty and maritime law across the country.
