Membership

The St. John’s Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Journal is currently comprised of a small editorial staff of law students who have an interest in the entertainment field. The primary duties of the editorial staff include:

  • Soliciting articles for submission
  • Selecting articles for publication
  • Researching and editing selected articles to ensure substantive and technical integrity

Applications to become a Journal staff member are accepted only from students of St. John’s School of Law who have completed the full first-year curriculum and expect to attend St. John’s for at least two more academic years. The St. John’s Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Journal does not currently participate in the St. John’s annual writing competition, conducted in the spring of the 1L year.

In addition, the St. John’s Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Journal is a part of the Law School’s Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Society. Students on the Journal’s editorial staff may serve on the Society’s executive board, excluding the position of president and subject to the election procedure established by the Society.
