Professor Leonard
M. Baynes
Leonard M. Baynes is Professor of Law and the first Director of The
Ronald H. Brown Center for Civil Rights and Economic
Development at St. John's University School of Law. He
teaches Business Organizations, Communications Law, Regulated
Industries, and Race and the Law. Prior to joining St. John's
faculty, Professor Baynes was a tenured faculty member at Western
New England College School of Law in Springfield, MA.

Professor Janice
D. Villiers
Janice D. Villiers, Associate Professor of
Law, teaches Torts I and II, Immigration Law and Immigration
Seminar and serves as faculty advisor to the Black Law Students
Association. She joined the faculty in 1991. In 1997, Professor
Villiers launched the University's Community Business Development
Program. The Office of Community Business Development is committed
to assisting minority, women, small, disadvantaged and local
business enterprises in their long-term growth and development,
thereby enhancing the economic stability and vitality of the
community the University serves through its student body. In 1999
Professor Villiers received the Founder's Week Award at St. John's
for her commitment to the Vincentian mission. She returned to the
full time faculty in Fall 2002.

Professor Cheryl L.
Wade
Cheryl L. Wade is the "Dean Harold F.
McNiece" Professor of Law at St. John's University School of Law.
She teaches Law and Race, Business Organizations, Corporate
Governance and Accountability, Torts and Close Business
Arrangements.
