The Admiralty Law Society was founded in 1975 by Professor
Joseph A. Calamari, Alfred Will, Esq.‘75 and Peter Clark,
Esq.‘75.The purpose of the Society is to promote the study of
Admiralty and Maritime Law. The Society achieves this goal through
field trips of a maritime nature, invitation of guest speakers from
the maritime field, publication of the Admiralty Practicum (a
recent case review periodical), production of the precis for the
Society of Maritime Arbitrators’ cases, and an annual dinner. The Admiralty
Practicum is published bi-annually and the lectures are
given in the fall and the spring of each year. In March of each
year, an annual dinner is held at the Downtown Athletic Club.
